Heat Treatment of Hitachi Sumitomo SCX2000 Track Pad
The track shoes of this line go through double heat treatment: quenching and tempering, then surface hardening. This results in a surface that is very resistant to wear, but the inner core is strong and ductile enough to withstand shock loads.
