Kobelco 7035 Track Shoe Quality Inspection

For the manufacture of Kobelco 7035 track plate, there is an effective and thorough quality inspection system carried out for the whole manufacturing process. Upon receipt at our manufacturing premises, each batch of raw materials undergoes chemical composition testing using a spectrometer to ensure strict adherence to the grade standard of either 35SiMn or 28CrMnMo. In the next step, after casting, each track shoe goes through dimensional accuracy testing, whereby the tolerances on the mounting hole location and pitch are checked and held at ±0.5 mm. This is accompanied by surface hardness measurement on randomly selected samples, where the hardness of HRC 52–58 is guaranteed, together with a 100% inspection.
