That’s a tall order, which is why we start with casting, heat treatment, and surface hardness. Casting allows us to shape the sprocket with complex tooth geometry and consistent material density, using high-grade alloy steel formulated specifically for wear resistance and impact strength.

Heat treatment that makes the difference
Casting and good material are just the foundation. We put every Kobelco CKE700 sprocket through a multi-stage heat treatment process: first quenching and tempering to dial in the right balance of core toughness and overall hardness, then an additional surface hardening step focused on the tooth faces. That extra surface treatment is what gives the sprocket its staying power—the teeth stay strong longer, even when running in abrasive conditions like crushed rock or hard-packed clay.
Precision-machined and easy to install
If the drive sprocket doesn’t match the track shoes, it wears out fast and takes the crane shoes with it. That’s why we precision-machine both the drive sprocket tooth and mounting holes on the CKE700 sprocket to match original Kobelco track shoes and travel reducers. The result is a clean fit that reduces vibration, minimizes uneven wear, and helps the whole undercarriage run smoother and last longer.
Quality checks before it ships
Every Kobelco CKE700 sprocket gets inspected before it leaves the workshop. We check dimensions, tooth profile, hardness, and surface finish to make sure it meets spec.
