Production Process for Hitachi Sumitomo SCX550 Undercarriage Parts
We guided our clients through the complete production workflow for the Hitachi Sumitomo crawler crane undercarriage parts:
Our team provided a detailed analysis of the Hitachi Sumitomo crawler crane undercarriage parts manufacturing processes:
I. Blanks Manufacturing
Blanks are manufactured using casting or forging methods to achieve high material density and eliminate any defects in the metal structure.
II. Normalization
The blanks are normalized to improve their grain structure and remove internal stresses.
III. Machining
Machining operations include CNC turning, milling, and gear hobbing to perform shaft bore processing and other operations that increase precision.
IV. Stress-Relief Annealing
After machining, the parts undergo stress-relief annealing to reduce internal stresses from cutting operations and prevent deformation during subsequent heat treatments.
V. Heat Treatment (Core Process)
Quenching: The blanks are heated above 850°C and cooled using oil quenching to harden the surfaces.
Tempering: This operation reduces brittleness and increases material ductility.
Surface Hardening (Induction Hardening): Contacts, such as bottom rollers and track shoes, are subjected to a second hardening treatment to achieve a deep hardened surface layer.
VI. Assembly
Bearings, floating oil seals, and shafts are assembled into the roller bodies.
VII. Painting
After rust removal via sandblasting, an anti-rust primer is applied to enhance corrosion resistance.
VIII. Comprehensive Quality Inspection
Raw Materials: Spectrographic analysis is performed to verify chemical composition.
Post-Heat Treatment: Hardness and impact toughness tests are conducted.
Post-Machining: Dimensions are verified using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
Finished Products: Magnetic particle inspection and ultrasonic flaw detection are performed to ensure structural integrity.
IX. Packaging and Shipping
After cleaning and drying, the items are packed in protective wooden crates to prevent impact damage. A Certificate of Conformity and a Test Report are included with the shipment.
